This dataset lists every U.S. packaged-food product whose record changed between the Open Food Facts releases of March 12, 2026 and July 31, 2026: 35,736 added, 60,287 updated and 1,257 removed, 97,280 rows in total. Each row carries the barcode, what changed, and the PlainFoodSafe ingredient-flag score on both sides.

Provenance chain

  1. Upstream: Open Food Facts, an openly licensed collaborative product database. Product names, brands, ingredient lists, NOVA groups and Nutri-Score values are theirs, not ours.
  2. PlainFoodSafe retains each ingested release, then compares consecutive releases by barcode to produce the added, updated and removed sets above.
  3. The safety-score columns are PlainFoodSafe-derived: a count of flagged additives based on FDA regulatory status and CSPI Chemical Cuisine ratings. See methodology. The score is an ingredient-flag count, not a health assessment.
